Have you ever watched a TV show that you thought was so good that it would last for a long time?
And every week you’ll sit on your couch, watch the show, and continue to wonder how each episode will play out?
Then BOOM…you receive some sad news on Twitter that your favorite show has been canceled.
Today, I’m talking about those shows that got canceled and/or some shows that didn’t last as long as we wanted them to last.
In my opinion, some networks missed out on some amazing shows that had the potential to be popular.
Let’s be honest…sometimes, one season is not enough to know if a show will perform well or not. Some TV shows didn’t get me hooked and excited until the second (and sometimes) the third season. …
In 2017, I stumbled upon a website called “Webtoons.” At the time, I was interested in a story called Helios:Femina by Michelle Phan. I finished it within a few days and I never came back to Webtoons for whatever reason.
Now fast-forward to 2020, the pandemic struck and I had nothing to do, so I reunited with Webtoons and I wanted to read some stories to kill time.
Little did I know that I was going to be obsessed with this website again.
No joke, I was reading 10+ chapters every day from multiple stories. I discovered new stories on a weekly basis from my friends. …
Chanel №5 is arguably an iconic perfume that many people still admire today. According to NPR, due to Chanel’s enticing ads, Chanel №5 sells every 30 seconds (2011).
However, very few people know the history of this timeless perfume. So today, we’ll dive into how and why Chanel №5 became the most iconic of all time.
Disclaimer: The following information may or may not be historically accurate due to Chanel and Chanel №5 complicated history. Therefore, I’m only sharing information that I feel is accurate that I read from multiple sources.
In the ‘20s, Chanel asked her perfumer, Ernest Beaux, to create a scent that smells ‘more like a woman and not like a rose’ (Fashionista, 2016). …
In 2019, I went on a trip to Cambodia after graduating from college. If you read my other stories then you’ll know that I visited a couple of other countries in Asia too.
I was excited to visit Cambodia! It’s one of the countries that I’ve wanted to visit for a long time. Also, I’ve been to Vietnam several times, so why not switch things up and add Cambodia to the list?
One of the best memories I had in Cambodia was a coffee shops at a rest area. This coffee shop was named Café Amazon.
So, my curiosity struck me a few weeks ago when I stumbled upon an image that I took in 2019. It was me holding a coffee cup and instantly I was reminded of that experience again. …
The history behind The Kelly Bag is quite interesting because it went through some transformations before it was popular. It’s hard to detect where the original Kelly came from but we can assume that it began in the 1890s.
According to Xupes, the earliest known sample of the Kelly was in 1892 when it was designed to hold a saddle (2018). In the 1920s, the bag was transformed into the “Bugatti”.
The Bugatti was a compact bag made specifically for Julie Hermès (Emile’s Hermès wife). According to Xupes, Mrs. Hermès wanted a bag that was easy for transportation and to fit into car doors. As for the design, the bag was inspired by a Bugatti car in the 1920s (via Bonhams). …
As you all know, I’m one of the many fans who’s super excited for the new Gossip Girl “reboot.”
When I discovered that they finally revealed their character’s name, of course, I had to write a story about it!
What a great way to start the new year, right?
Earlier this morning, Gossip Girl (IG) released the character’s names. I’m assuming the words that are stated next to their names are what their characters represent.
So, before I share my thoughts, here’s a quick recap of every character that Gossip Girl (IG) has shared so far:
Jordan Alexander: Julien Calloway —…
Welcome back to another monthly curation of my most popular and unpopular stories on Medium. Along with a reading list, I also share a short reflection on everything that happened in December too. If you would like to follow this series, please follow me at (Jen Eve!)
Happy New Year! Can you all believe it’s already 2021?
I’m assuming some of us have a number of goals that we’re hoping to achieve this year. So, let’s try to make this year the best that it can be!
So, December was an interesting month because I didn’t write as much on Medium as I’ve wanted to write. It was the holiday season, writer’s block, and me working on my blog that took up most of my time. …
